Go here!!! It was by far our favorite food we’ve had on the island, and it was only $15 for the mixed plate. We all got different kinds of meat with our mixed plates and loved them. The Mac salad was great too. Also our server, a young lady with tattoos, was very friendly and helpful
Great experience. We were looking for something local for lunch and found Ippys. We were not disappointed.
They had a nice menu with burgers and sandwiches in addition to their barbecue items. It was hard to pick so I went with the two meat plate. It came with a generous portion of meat, salad and coleslaw.
The staff was very helpful in explaining everything and very patient while we decided what to get.
The food was outstanding. I got the pork belly and daily meat special while Kathy got the chicken and pulled pork. All were very flavorful and the plate was very filling.
I am glad we found this local treasure.
What a great local place. The food was super tasty and abundant. After atmosphere was charming and interesting. The young lady serving us behind the counter with a tattoos (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) was absolutely lovely. She made us feel right at home and made our new love for Waimea even stronger. Almost wish we were staying another day just to go back and eat again.
Better than expected! Fair prices for large portions. All super tasty! 2 complaints: bathroom outside and no desserts! :)
Great Hawaiian food. On our way to Hilo from Kona. this was one of the best restaurants so far we had so far. Portions are big and price is even better. Grilled Ono and Kalua pig was yummy. Friendly staff and gave us extra side. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very good plate lunch for a fair price. I got the Teri chicken and Teri pork. Both were awesome. My wife got the Teri chicken and pork belly. They know how to do pork belly right. Great meal! Would absolutely come back again. Thank you, IPPYS!
We saw Ippy on BBQ Brawl and we were super excited that his restaurant was on the Big Island!!! Super yummy food. Quick service. Clean. Large seating area for our very large group. It only would’ve been better if we had seen Ippy himself!! We will definitely return on our next visit back to Waimea and the Hawaii.
So friendly. Amazing food with huge portions with good prices. All the meats were grilled and had grill marks and yummy flavor. Portions were generous and we took lots home. Nice selection from bar with ice cold beer and hard seltzer on tap from Hawaiian breweries.
